"Welcome home" POSTPONED until later this summer

A Rare Opportunity

Welcome Home — Saturday March 28
POSTPONED!

Location will be Pier 13, 4601 Newgate Ave, Baltimore, Maryland

The SS John W Brown, Baltimore’s WW II Liberty Ship has settled into a new home at Pier 13 in the Canton Marine Terminal.  Project Liberty Ship, the ship’s owner and operator will host an open house on board the ship on Saturday 28 March 2020 and you are invited to attend.

Pier 13 is also where the NS Savannah is berthed.  The Savannah was launched in 1959 after being built by the United States Government as a demonstration of the use of nuclear power for merchant ships.  She was the first nuclear powered merchant ship ever built.

Both the John W Brown and the Savannah will be open to the public on 28 March.   This is a rare opportunity to see the technological end points of 20th century merchant ship steam.

Come by to welcome the SS John W Brown to her new home and to see these two fascinating ships.
